Technology development of high density optical data storage

The sizes of the recording marks on HD-DVD approach the optical resolution.Obtaining super-high density optical data storage higher than that of HD-DVD is the main target of optical recording technology,including the threedimensional and near-field data storage.The principles,advantages and disadvantages of each technology are summarized.
