The analgesic effect of ibuprofen codeine sustained tablets in treatment of cancer pain

Objective:To evaluate the analgesic effect of ibuprofen codeine sustained tablets in treatment of cancer pain.Methods:In the study,a double blind,double dummy,cross over design was adopted( n =36).Results:Ibuprofen codeine sustained tablets is effective in relieving cancer pain with a longer analgesic duration than codeine,no special side effects were observed. Conclusion:Ibuprofen codeine sustained tablets ia an effective agent for treatment of cancer pain.It may be used as a second ladder analgesic for cancer pain. [
