Nitro-chlorobenzene is an important organic synthetic material and an organic intermediate in common use.The demand ratios of o-nitro-chlorobenzene to p-nitro-chlorobenzene change greatly in different periods. The studies on the kinetics can provide a theoretic basis for adjustment in time of the production of o-nitro-chlorobenzene and p-nitro-chlorobenzene according to demand of the market. The nitrification of chlorobenzene is a liquid homogeneous reaction. In the system of nitric acid-sulfuric acid-waste acid, the processes of nitrification of chlorobenzene were studied, the kinetics models were derived based on the mass transfer, and the macroscopic kinetics equations of the nitrification were experimentally determined.
