Latest researches on bismuth-based photocatalysts for use under visible-light irradiation

Bismuth compound photocatalysts have attracted considerable attention for their high photocatalytic activity under visible light. Latest researches on bismuth oxide catalysts, bismuth titanate catalysts, composite catalysts and solid solution catalysts were reviewed. It is suggested that more efforts will be concentrated on the photocatalytic mechanism, synthesis of novel high-efficiency catalysts and their supporting techniques.
