Design and implementation of wireless UV communication system based on LED

The characteristics of UV communication and the communication channel are introduced in this paper.We design a wireless UV digital communication system with the UV LEDs as the light source and the photomultiplier tube as the optical receiver.A prototype device of UV wireless communication is developed.The experiments have been implemented under different conditions.The result of experiments shows that the communicational effect in the conditions such as in the night,sunny,short distance or alignment is better than in the conditions like daytime,rainy,long distance or misalignment.So the wireless UV communication is feasible.
