A new species of the genus Pedopodisma (Orthoptera, Acridoidea, Catantopidae) from Zhejiang Province, China

A new species, Pedopodisma kuocangshan sp. nov. is described from Mount Kuocang, Zhejiang Province, Southeastern China. The type specimens are deposited in the School of life scineces, Taizhou University. The new species is allied to Pedopodisma protrocula Zheng, 1980, but differs in: body size larger, length of body:♂21.5-22.5mm, ♀24.5-29.5mm; longitudinal diameter of eye is 1.8 times length of subocular groove♀, 1.9 times♂; antennae length of a segment in the middle is about 3.0 times width; lateral lobe of pronotum at lower margin rounded at anterior corner, posterior corner obtusely angulate; cercus of male at lower margin relatively straight and epiphallus at lower margin deeply concaved, lophi small and cuspidal at the back end.
