Selective terpene oxidation by unspecific peroxygenases with complementary reactivity

In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Grogan and co-workers study the complementary reactivities of artUPO and rAaeUPO-PaDa-I-H, two representative unspecific peroxygenases (UPOs) in the selective oxidation of terpenes. They obtained a series of value-added terpene-derived compounds on preparative scales, highlighting the great potential of UPOs in challenging synthetic applications.
