Severe malocclusion of the Han children aged 11 ~ 14 quality of life survey

摘要
Objective To investigate the impact of severe Malocclusion on the Han children aged 11~14 Oral Quality of Life and related influencing factors.Methods The study samples included 70 children aged 11 ~14 years with the malocclusion grade of 4 or 5 according to the index of orthodontic treatment need dental health component and 65 children aged 11~14 years with normal occlusion.The measures included the self-rated influencing factors and the Chinese version of CPQ11-14.T test was used to calculate the related influence factors of oral quality of life.Results The CPQ scores of the study samples and the all 4 items of the child quality of life were higher than normal occlusion.In the all 4 items of the child quality of life,significant girls difference but no difference was found in boys.Conclusion Severe malocclusions affects child's quality of life from oral symptoms、oral functions、emotion and social interaction.
