Studies on mechanism of antagonism of Trichoderma sp. against Rhizoctonia solani and its application in biological control

The Antagonism of an isolate of Trichoderma sp. from soil by our lab, T 1, against Rhizoctonia solani was tested in vitro by dual culture. The mechanisms of antagonism of Trichoderma sp. including competition, mycoparasitism, antibody-secretion and cell lysis were investigated primarily. The application of Trichoderma sp. in biological control of cucumber Rhizoctonia solani was carried out in flower vessel, and the results showed that the effect of Trichoderma sp in bio-control against cucumber Rhizoctonia solani reached 93%, and this effect can be retain long time and promote the growth of crop.
