Study on Experiment of Intercropping Fast-Growing Acacia spp.in Opening of Pinus massoniana

The experimental area with the area of 1.33 hm2 was set up to intercrop Acacia concinnata and Acacia crassicarpa in 2004 in the opening of Pinus massoniana built in Yuanling stated-owned forest farm of Fujian province in 1988.And temporary sample plots 25.8m×5.8m were established respectively in areas of Pinus massoniana + Acacia concinnata,Pinus massoniana + Acacia crassicarpa and opening of Pinus massoniana in 2006 to measure height,chest diameter,degree of closing and vegetation under forest.The result revealed that the average height and chest diameter of Pinus massoniana were more 17.4%~20.3% and 14.0%~17.4% than the contrasts,and the intensity,temperature,humidity within the mingled forest were better than those in forest of mono-cultured species.
