摘要
This paper reports wear phenomenon analysis apparatus of cutting tool edge and evaluation of several tool edges. Generally, to analyze the wear phenomenon of the cutting tool edge, a CNC lathe is used for cutting, and the state of the cutting tool edge before and after cutting is observed and compared. However, there are problems that cutting with a CNC lathe needs a higher cost and use of the lathe in the production site is not recommended for productions. The authors thought that it would be possible to easily analysis without using a CNC lathe by developing a small wear phenomenon analysis device. As a result of experiment using the device, it was confirmed that the cutting resistance was reduced when the cutting tool edge was polished.
