Objective To observe the efficacy of the combined application of mometasone furoate queous nasal spray in the treatment of postnasal drip syndrome(PNDS) and explore a more effective way for PNDS.Methods Ninety PNDS patients were selected and randomly divided into hormone group(n=25),neomycin group(n=25),and mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray group(n=40).Patients in each group received systemic medication, nasal decongestants, and clean-up of nasal cavity. In addition to the intake of hormones, the hormone group orally took prednisone tablets, the neomycin group received drops containing dexamethasone, and mometasone group was administered nasal inhaled corticosteroids-mometasone furoate aqueous. Results Compared with the other two groups, the mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray group achieved desired outcomes in a shorter time. Conclusion The combined application of mometasone furoate aqueous nasal spray is one of the effective methods in the treatment of PNDS.
