Even bowing, a basic skill in teaching and learning of Er Hu performance, means an ongoing moment balance between the points of bow - attacking and finger - touching on the string. Based on the principles of mechanics, this paper analyzes the essentials and cues lor achieving such even bowing in Er Hu performing so that unwanted noises might be eliminated. To provide a rational guidance on this point. the paper further describes quantitatively the relationships between the dynamics of first and middle fingers and the touching point of bowing.
