Research Progress on Application and Preparation of Green Chemicals-Modified Starch

In this paper,the structure characteristic of starch is briefly introduced. The modification and status quo of application of modified starch such as carboxy methyl starch,oxidized starch,cationic starch,crosslinked starch,grafted starch and multicomponent modified starch are emphatically reviewed. As a kind of widely used raw materials and auxiliaries in many industries, the resource of modified starch is rich and the starch is easily biodegradable. So a vast range of prospects has opened to modified starch.
