A two-electron reducing reaction of CO2 to an oxalate anion: a theoretical study of delocalized (presolvated) electrons in Al(CH3)n(NH3)m, n = 0–2 and m = 1–6, clusters

A C–C coupling takes place when two CO 2 molecules interact with the Al 2 (CH 3 ) 2 (CH 2 ) 2 (NH 3 ) 4 solvated electron precursor leading to the formation of an oxalate.
