Anisotropy of Poisson's Ratio in Transversely Isotropic Rocks

The Poisson's ratio of shales with different clay mineralogy and porosity and for many shale rocks around the world including brine‐saturated Africa shales and sands, North Sea shales, gas‐ and brine‐saturated Canadian carbonates were estimated from the values of Thomsen's parameters. Anisotropy of Poisson's ratio for a set of TI samples with “normal” and “anomalous” polarization”, with “normal” values of Poisson's ratio and auxetic were calculated.
