摘要
Social and cultural conditioning is a primary factor in the job choices made by men and women. This study was an attempt to determine how this conditioning may be counteracted or modified and the occupational interests of individuals broadened as a result. To this end, a group of sixth-grade children were exposed to a six-week course dealing with nontraditional careers for men and women. The significant increase shown in their preference for nontraditional jobs indicates that material presented as part of a curriculum may have the potential to influence career choice.
