Direct-to-Consumer Prenatal Testing for Multigenic or Polygenic Disorders: A Position Statement of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG)

(Abstracted from Genet Med 2021:23:2027–2028) The American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) recently updated its position statement on direct-to-consumer (DTC) prenatal testing for multigenic or polygenic disorders. The ACMG recommends that prenatal testing for these disorders is not ready for use in the clinic and should not be offered as DTC testing.
