Energy Storage: Ternary Sn–Ti–O Based Nanostructures as Anodes for Lithium Ion Batteries (Small 12/2015)

Ternary nanostructured composite systems based on Sn–Ti–O as anodes for lithium ion batteries have been reviewed by H. Wang and co-workers. Such composites are often used in combination with carbon-based nanomaterials. Recent achievements in the fabrication and design of such structures are discussed on page 1364. The image illustrates the morphology of sphere- and wire-like hierarchical nanostructures assembled from Ti-doped SnO2 nanosheets.
