A pot experiment with 7-year orthodox honeysuckle as materials was conducted to study the effects of organic nitrogen and inorganic nitrogen on factors of honeysuckle quality. The results showed that, with the sufficient supply of phosphate and potassium fertilizers, application of only organic nitrogen played positive roles on 1 000-bud weight of honeysuckle, but decreased the concentration of chlorogenic acid and flavonoid in the flower and leaf. However, the opposite results were observed when inorganic nitrogen was applied.Combined application of organic and inorganic nitrogen fertilizer did not decreasee the quality of honeysuckle. So,combined application of organic nitrogen and inorganic nitrogen should be commended in the growth of honeysuckle.
