Electrospinning is a nifty process of producing nanofibers in different nanometers ranging from 1 nm to 1000 nm. Nanofiber production is now one of the most important achievements in nanotechnology. Small fiber diameter, large surface area, layer thinness, high porosity, and low base weight are characteristics of electrospun fibers. After being dissolved in a solvent and melted, polymers can be electrospun into nanofibers. The process parameters include flow rate, applied voltage, the distance between the needle tip to the collector, and solution properties. In this article, the electrospun polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and their biopolymer blends like Azadirachta indica (Neem), Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera), Vitex negundo have been reviewed. The application of electrospun nanofibers has been used in the diversified technical areas of biomedical such as tissue engineering, wound healing, and drug delivery. Even though polyvinyl alcohol is a synthetic polymer, it is easily biodegradable since the solvent for PVA is water only. The other polymers used are also biocompatible and biodegradable.
