Expression of TIMP-1 in laryngeal carcinoma and its clinical significance

Objective To investigate the expression of TIMP-1 in laryngeal carcinoma and its clinical significance.Methods The expression of TIMP-1 were detected using FCM in tumor tissues and para-carcinoma tissues of 50 patients with laryngeal carcinoma and normal laryngeal mucosa of 16 cases. Results The expression quantity and positive expression rate of TIMP-1 in laryngesl carcinoma tissues were obviously higher than those in para-carcinoma and normal laryngeal mucosa tissues,and there was significant difference,while there was no significant difference between para-carcinoma tisseres and normal laryngeal mucosa tissues,which in clinical stage Ⅲ,Ⅳ were obviously lower than those in in clinical stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ.There were not significant difference in the expression quantity and positive expression rate of TIMP-1 between different age and sex.Conclusion TIMP-1 was expressed in laryngeal carcinoma, para-carcinoma and normal laryngeal mucosa tissues, the quantitative and qualitive expression of TIMP-1 in laryngeal carcinoma tissues were remarkably lower than those in para-carcinoma and normal laryngeal mucosa tissues,and the difference was realted to clinical stage,no relation to age and sex.
