Synthesis of Poly(1,2-cyclohexanediyl adipate)

Poly(1,2-cyclohexanediyl adipate),the main raw materials of polyurethane,was synthesized from 1,2-cyclohexanediol and adipic acid.By means of single factor experimental method,the optimal reaction conditions were determined:reaction temperature 180 ℃,reaction time 3 h,n(1,2-cyclohexanediol)∶n(adipic acid)=1.6∶1,and m(catalyst)∶m(stabilizer)∶m(adipic acid)=0.8∶0.3∶100.Poly(1,2-cyclohexanediyl adipate) was obtained as a yellowish,translucent and viscid liquid,with acid value9.3 mg/g,hydroxyl value 50～70 mg/g and molecular weight 1 000～2 000.
