Study on Chemical Constituents of Alocasia macrorrhiza

Objective To study the chemical constituents of Alocasia macrorrhiza( L.) Schott. Methods Constituents were extracted by 90% ethanol,isolated and purified by chromatographic techniques with silica gel,polyamide and so on. Their structures were identified on the basis of physical-chemical properties and spectral data. Results Six compounds were isolated and identified as 1,2-dihydro-6,8-dimethoxy-7-hydroxy-1-( 3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)-N1,N2-bis-[2-( 4-hydroxyphenyl) ethyl]-2,3-naphthalene dicarboxamide( 1),cannabisin F( 2),palmitic acid( 3),1-monopalmitin( 4),sitosterol-3-O-6-palmityl-β-D-glucopyranoside( 5),and uracil( 6). Conclusion Compounds 1-6 were isolated from Alocasia macrorrhiza for the first time.
