Application of On-Site Sodium Hypochlorite Production System in Large and Medium Size Waterworks

Principal of the on-site sodium hypochlorite production system and the application of this technology to Changxing water plant,Shanghai were introduced.The disinfection method among chlorine,chlorine dioxide,sodium hypochlorite,commerical hypochlorite,ozone and UV radiation were compared.Compared with liquid chlorine and commercial hypochlorite,on-site sodium hypochlorite production technology is a safe technology in raw material transportation,hypochlorite production,storage and dosing. As the on-site hypochlorite produced has a good effect and residual disinfection and it's savable,it is more suitable for large and medium size water plants disinfection.
