Vision of pellet injection experiments.

Recent pellet injection experiments are surveyed based upon the international pellet fueling workshop held in 1985. It is generally confirmed that pellet injection is effective for increasing a plasma density in the present devices. Some experiments show improvement of plasma confinement property after pellet injection. Present effort to develop a new pellet injector (mainly for increasing flexibility and pellet velocity) is also described.
