Derivatives of Natural Polymers

Many of the products about us are derived from natural products. Chapter 15 describes many of these from leather, regenerated protein, modified wool, lacquers, cellophane, cellulose, rayon, rayon acetate, “Super Slurper” starch derivatives, etc. The use of biotechnology to create materials is described.
