Structural Elucidation of Biepiasterolid

Atractylodes macrocephala koidz has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine due to its various bioactivities. Five compounds have been isolated from the its rhizoma and structurally characterized by MS and NMR. One of them is a new bisesquiterpene of an unusual complete symmetry, named biepiasterolid.
