Clinical Observation on the Effect of Zhongzhen Liuxue COMBINED with Plum Needle and Cupping on Postherpetic Neuralgia

Objective:To observe the effect of Zhongzhen Liuxue combined with plum needle and cupping when treating postherpetic neuralgia patients.Methods:65 patients were randomized divided into Treatment Group and Control Group,the Treatment Group was treated with Zhongzhen Liuxue combined with plum needle and cupping,the Control Group was treated with Indomethacin.The Visual Analogue Scales and the MOS 36-item Short-form Health Survey were evaluated before and after the treatment,respectively.Results:The total therapeutic effective rate of Treatment Group is 90.91%,the total therapeutic effective rate of Control Group is 65.63%,there were significant differences between the Treatment Group and the Control Group on the total therapeutic effective rat,VAS,and the MOS 36-item Short-form Health Survey,respectively(P0.05).Conclusion:The therapeutic method of Zhongzhen Liuxue combined with plum needle and cupping can relieve the symptoms of Postherpetic Neuralgia and its effect is definite.
