Objective To explore the risk factors for morbidity of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) in the rural smokers.Methods The prevalence and risk factors of COPD in the rural smokers(age≥40 years) in Qujiang District were analyzed.Results The morbidity of COPD was significant difference in the gender,daily drinking alcohol quantity,daily smoking count,the number of smoking year,smoking with or without deep breath,family history with COPD,body mass index,and history with dust exposure(P0.05);More daily smoking counts,the number of smoking years and a thin body were the risk factors of COPD(OR1,P0.05),however,female,drink less,smoking without deep breath,no history with COPD,and no history with dust exposure was protective factors against COPD(OR1,P0.05).Conclusion The rural smokers had a higher rate of COPD,and the rate was related to many factors.
