Recent studies indicate that anti-mullerian hormone(AMH)participate in each stage of folliculogenesis.During the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS),abnormal level for AMH may suppress the initial recruitment of primordial follicle and folliculogenesis. It also may closely relate to high androgen level and abnormal oocyte. But the specific mechanism is not clear. As a marker that is stable, sensitive and accurate during clinical application,AMH is much valuable for PCOS in the diagnosis, early acreen for high-risk group, diagnosis after drug therapy, ovary function evaluation and effect estimation for assisted reproductive technology. It has the promising future.
