摘要
Abstract Silver bismuth sulphide is a ternary material that has attracted attention due to its good properties and several applications. Here, the detailed methods of synthesizing silver bismuth sulphide including successive ionic layer and reaction, Bridgman, microwave, mechanical milling, pyrolysis, deposition, sol–gel and chemical methods are discussed. To understand the properties of the silver bismuth sulphide, characterization tools are required, some of these tools are highlighted. Its photocatalytic, sensing, photovoltaic, photothermal, hydrogen generation, usage in the treatment of cancer and other medical applications are also comprehensively reviewed. Lastly, future perspectives on the synthesis and applications of silver bismuth sulphide are suggested.
