摘要
The unsustainability and polluting nature of fossil energy have prompted humans to explore new sustainable energy sources. Recently, a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) has been considered as a possible approach for providing energy for the Internet of Things (IoT). However, the traditional TENG can also produce AC electrical output. Herein, a DC TENG based on a sliding semi-wrapped structure (SDC-TENG) is reported using a very simple fabrication process, which can produce high DC electrical output. According to the experimental tests, the output current and output voltage of the SDC-TENG are linearly increased with the sliding velocity of the U-shaped sliding part. Owing to the direct-current characteristics of the SDC-TENG, it can charge capacitors and power LEDs directly. Thus, this ingenious design will promote the development of TENG devices.
