The role of kupffer cells in liver injury induced by endotoxemia

Endotoxemia is an important factor causing liver injury. The recent researches has demostrated that liver injury induced by endotoxemia close relation to the excess activation of kupffer cells. Abundant inflammatory mediators and cytokines synthesizing and releasing from kupffer cells lead to liver injury.This article summarizes the role of kupffer cells in liver injury induced by endotoxemia.
