Complete hair regrowth in a patient with severe alopecia areata treated with deucravacitinib

We report a case of complete hair regrowth in a patient with severe alopecia areata following treatment with deucravacitinib, a selective TYK2 inhibitor. Despite TYK2 not being traditionally implicated in AA pathogenesis, this outcome suggests potential immunomodulatory effects of TYK2 inhibition. The case underscores the need to explore novel pathways and off-target mechanisms in AA therapy.
