The study of magnemation for the Sm-Fe thin films with large magnetostriction

The compound SmFe2 is known to exhibit the largest negative magnetostriction, while TbFe2 have the largest positive magnetostriction[1]. These R-Fe compounds reveal a large magnetic anisotropy. Because of the increased magnetocrystailine anisotropy of the compound, these alloy are required a large magnetic field with to obtain the largest magnetostriction.
