Development of dimethyl silicone oil and its derivatives in defoamer field

Dimethyl silicone oil,with excellent chemical inertness and low surface tension,was widely used as the raw material of defoamer agent.Polyether modified silicone and organic fluorine modified silicone are the two major silicone modifiers,with more excellent defoaming and antifoaming activities.This paper summarized the performance,preparation and applications of dimethyl silicone oil-based defoamer,polyether modified silicone oil-based defoamer and organic fluorine modified silicone oil-based defoamer.
