This review discusses mechanisms of titanium dioxide photocatalysis, preparation of titanium dioxide, destruction of organic impurities in water using titanium dioxide, the facts that affect photocatalysis of titanium dioxide, the means of improving the photatclytic rate, and the potential application on degradating organic pollutions in water.
