Some parameters of the rockmass, such as elastic modulus, intensity parameters, etc., are very important to underground cavern design and construction. Lots of cost, materials and efforts are needed if field test is done. Sometimes, the result of field test is not very good. In this situation, application of the inverse analysis theory can overcome the disadvantages that the field test has. Using this theory, displacement that can be got easily by field test, is used only to calculate the needed parameters. Therefor the direct displacement inverse analysis is used to calculate the rock parameters for Shibeiling tunnel.
