On the Application of Irony in Emma

Jane Austen is generally regarded as the greatest female English novelist in the early 19th century.Emma is Austen's most mature works,which characterizes the application of irony,including verbal irony,situational irony and dramatic irony.By the use of these different kinds of irony,Austen criticizes contemporary people's view about marriage.
