A novel near-infrared electrochromic material based on the electron-induced proton transfer mechanism

This study develops a novel near-infrared electrochromic material through an electron-induced proton transfer mechanism by coupling an acid-responsive dye (Cy-N) with an electro-acid molecule (Urea-N), enabling reversible NIR modulation for energy-efficient thermal management.
