Abstract: Mechanoluminescent (ML) materials, by virtue of their unique capability for mechanical-to-optical energy conversion, hold great promise for a wide range of applications, and the development of multicolor properties can further broaden their application scope.Energy transfer is a core mechanism for tuning the properties of luminescent materials. However, ML materials that utilize energy transfer to adjust chromaticity are extremely rare.In this study, a series of Na 2 CaP 2 O 7 : Tb 3+ , Sm 3+ phosphors are prepared via a high-temperature solid-state method. An energy transfer channel from Tb 3+ to Sm 3+ is successfully established, enabling the tuning of ML colors.Based on this, we design an application for dynamic information encryption and anti-counterfeiting by utilizing the variantions in ML color and intensity to record the trajectory and magnitude of the applied mechanical force. This research not only provides an effective strategy for designing novel multicolor ML materials but also broadens their application scenarios in the field of advanced information security. Keywords: Na 2 CaP 2 O 7 : Tb 3+ , Sm 3+ ; energy transfer; mechanoluminescence; dynamic anti-counterfeiting
