Properties of Polylactic Acid Fiber and Its Problems in Dyeing and Finishing Process

Polylactic acid( PLA) fiber is a kind of new biodegradable green fiber which has developed in recent 20 years. It has important applications in biomedicine,packaging,agriculture and textile. Aiming at poor wet stability and poor heat resistance of PLA fiber as well as the problems of pre-treatment,dying,post-finishing and washing in dyeing and finishing process,this paper introduces main methods to modify PLA fiber to provide reference for relevant researchers to more deeply know dyeing and finishing properties of PLA fiber and modification direction.
