The film performance of hydrophobic modified bio-latex was invesfigated by tensile strength, elongation at break and water absorption. The results showed that hydrophobic modifier can effectively improve the film performance. Tensile strength and elongation at break of the film reached highest when the amount of hydrophobic modifier was 0.5%. Under the circumstances the film`s water absorption was the lowest. When the amount of hydrophobic modified bio-latex reached 35%, the tensile strength and elongation at break was the highest.
