Changes of MRP2,RXRα and RARα expression in liver tissues of patients with obstructive cholestasis

Objective To observe the changes of MRP2(multidrug resistance-associated protein 2) and nuclear receptor RXRα,RARα expression in liver tissues of patients with obstructive cholestasis. Methods Forty samples of liver tissues of patients with and without obstructive cholestasis were collected.Obstructive cholestasis was verified by HE stain and expression of MRP2,RXRα and RARα were detected by immunostaining. Results Compared with normal liver tissues,the expression of nuclear receptor RXRα,RARα weakened in patients with obstructive cholestasis.The same changes happened to MRP2. Conclusion As same as cultured hepatocytes in vitro and model animals,the down-regulation of MRP2 may be resulted from down-regulation of nuclear receptor RXRα,RARα.
