Automatic testing system of digital multimeter based on GPIB consists of computer, multimeter, alternating/direct current standard signal sources, printer, interfaces of GPIB and so on. System software developed with VB 6.0 can be divided into three function modules of automatic testing evaluating. The computer controls both signal sources and the multimeter simultaneously to accomplish automatic regulating, and man-to-machine dialogue selective regulating determines whether it is necessary to regulate again. The user inputted the type of the tested multimeter and GPIB address, and selected measurement function, range, times etc, and automatic measurement was performed. The standard sources were employed in automatic evaluating, the evaluated point was selected according to its requirements, handled the data in real time and judged the result.
