Thrombosis in immune thrombocytopenia

Patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) have a higher thrombotic rate than the general population, and certain ITP treatments may further increase this risk. This narrative 'In a Nutshell' review provides an overview on thrombosis in adults with primary ITP and the haemostatic changes contributing to the hypercoagulability and thrombosis associated with ITP and its treatments.
