Effects of Waterlogging Stress on Plant Growth and Its Chemical Control Techniques

Waterlogging stress is one of the main limit factors for agricultural production.Under waterlogging conditions,plant cell receives the anoxia signal and thus gives an adaptive response,such as the production of anaerobic polypeptides.At the same time,the metabolic pathway of plant cell is changed and the aerobic respiration is replaced by anaerobic fermentation.The plant morphology is also changed under anoxia,such as the formation of aerenchyma and adventitious roots.The research progress of effects of waterlogging on plant morphology,physical metabolism and hormones.The problems of chemical control of plants subjected to waterlogging stress,as well as the possible further studies were pointed out.
