摘要
Cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a major driver of the global economy, led by platforms like Amazon and Alibaba. However, its rapid growth brings significant environmental challenges, particularly in energy use and carbon emissions. To address these issues, many companies are adopting green energy strategies. Renewable energy sources such as solar and wind are increasingly used to power operations, reducing carbon footprints and long-term energy costs. Businesses are also implementing energy-efficient practices, including optimized logistics, efficient lighting, and advanced heating and cooling systems to cut fuel and electricity use. Additionally, green packaging solutions are gaining traction, with companies using biodegradable, recyclable, or reusable materials to minimize packaging waste. Innovative designs made from recycled materials further enhance sustainability. Efforts are also being made to green the supply chain by encouraging suppliers to adopt clean energy and sustainable practices. Companies are introducing strict sustainability standards for supplier selection and evaluation. These combined initiatives aim to lower the environmental impact of cross-border e-commerce while supporting long-term economic and ecological sustainability.
