Research Progress of Environment-friendly Wet Strength Agent for Papermaking

The application of traditional wet strength agent such as aldehyde is restricted because of its impact on environment.Therefore the paper industry is seeking for the environment harmless substitute.This article introduces the research progress in the improvement of the tradition wet strength agent and the development of new environment-friendly wet strength agents such as the polyacetal,the glutaric dialdehyde,the high polymer latex and so on.And it points out that the environment friendly wet strength agent is a research subject in the future.
